Cricket has been played on the Goodwood Estate for over three centuries, and the 2nd Duke of Richmond drew up the earliest known set of rules of the game in existence, so to play at Goodwood on this historic pitch is a memorable experience for any enthusiast.
Two superb shoots are hosted by Goodwood. One is set high on the Downs and is one of the great partridge shoots of Sussex. The other, which has been the family shoot for over two hundred years, is a fine pheasant shoot based in and around the Park.
